Compliance & Trust

Our commitment to regulatory compliance and platform integrity

Marketplace Facilitator Model

Spotless Markets LLC operates as a technology platform and marketplace facilitator. It is critical to understand that we facilitate connections between customers and independent service providers, but do not directly employ service operators.

How Our Model Works
  • Marketplace Connection — Spotless Markets provides the technology platform and marketplace infrastructure
  • Independent Operators — Service providers are independent contractors, not employees
  • Direct Relationship — Customers contract directly with operators for services
  • Quality Assurance — Platform manages vetting, ratings, and dispute resolution
  • Payment Processing — Spotless Markets processes payments and remits to operators

Platform Facilitator Status

Spotless Markets LLC:

  • Does NOT directly employ operators
  • Does NOT supervise or control work methods
  • Does NOT guarantee service quality directly
  • Does provide operator insurance verification
  • Does provide customer protection mechanisms
  • Does facilitate dispute resolution

Note: While Spotless Markets does not directly employ operators, we maintain active compliance and quality assurance protocols through our platform policies.

Operators Are Independent

Service providers control their own work schedules, service offerings, and pricing within platform guidelines. They are responsible for their own insurance, licensing, and taxes.

No Employment Relationship

Operators are not considered employees of Spotless Markets. The platform provides marketplace facilitation services, not employment or direct service delivery.

Contractual Agreements

All operators and customers agree to binding terms of service that outline rights, responsibilities, and dispute resolution procedures.

Know Your Customer (KYC) Verification

To ensure compliance with financial regulations and mitigate fraud risk, Spotless Markets implements comprehensive KYC procedures for all operators onboarding to the platform.

  • Secure access controls and authentication
  • Regular penetration testing
  • Data minimization practices
  • Access logging and audit trails
  • Regular backup and disaster recovery

Customer payment information is accessible only to authorized staff for legitimate operational and compliance purposes.

Marketplace Facilitator Model

Payment Flow:

  1. Customer makes payment through Stripe-powered checkout
  2. Funds held in trust pending service completion
  3. Service completion triggers operator payment
  4. Operator receives net amount (after service fee)
  5. Refunds processed through original payment method

Spotless Markets retains a service fee (typically 20-30% of transaction value) for platform operations.

  • Forms generated in January for prior calendar year

Operators are responsible for their own tax obligations. Spotless Markets provides annual statements to facilitate compliance.
